There is a deep source in Confucius for the school motto “Strive for Virtue and Knowledge,Quest for Unity of Knowing and Practicing”.“Strive for Virtue”is the thoughts inherited and developed from Book of Changes by Confucius,and became the educational goal of Confucius,“Strive for Knowledge”is the teaching principle of Confucius.“Quest for Unity of Knowing and Practicing ”is form Confucius＇s ethical theory of knowledge and action is umted,which was the education and teaching method of Confucius.
