摘要
一部成功的文学作品总需要一些哲学和美学思想来支撑。作为现代主义文学的代表作品,《荒原》的发表给西方文坛带来了巨大的冲击和震撼。《荒原》引用了大量的神话和传说,运用了大量的现代艺术表现手法,使之成为现代主义诗歌的里程碑。艾略特使用的现代主义手法实际上是他对于"知识"和"经验"的认识论哲理的诗化反映。他使传统与现代交织起来,使其成为一个整体的两个方面,促使人们在荒原上进行探索,以求现代精神危机可以得到解救,他的作品给读者留下无穷的思索。
A successful literary work is generally based on certain philosophical and aesthetical principles. As one of the representative works of modernism, The Waste Lands brings great impact to western society. Its abundance The Waste Land a milestone in in literal allusions and legends, modernistic poetry. This paper its modernistic art techniques makes analyzes T. S. Eliot＇ s philosophical disposition in The Waste Land, draws a conclusion that the modernistic writing technique is the poetic reflection of Eliot＇s idea of ＂Knowledge＂ and ＂Experience＂. He weaved tradition with modernism, made them to be two sides of a wholeness. T.S. Eliot enabled people to explore on the waste land and search for a salvation of modern spiritual crisis.
