吉本芭娜娜的小说《厨房》围绕"厨房"这一生活空间展开,着重描写了祖母家的厨房和田边雄一家的厨房,在厨房的更新换代中,作者赋予了厨房三重含义:厨房作为"家"的象征,使两个失去所有亲人的孤儿美影和雄一,找到了家的温馨,同时也成为他们摆脱过去走向未来的疗伤良药,两颗受伤的心灵在这里慢慢走向成长。

The novel Kitchen starts from the space of ＂kitchen＂, and emphasizes on the grandmother＇s and Tanabe Yuichi＇s kitchen. The author has given triple meanings to the two different kitchens： Firstly, the kitchen is the symbol of home, which gives the two young people who lose all of their relatives the feeling of warmth. Secondly, it is good medicine that frees them from sadness, and makes them face the future. Thirdly, the two wounded souls mature gradually from the kitchen.
