本文分析了英语语音的历时变化,包括注音方法,即音标系统;也涉及到表音法,即语音的书面表现形式。在此基础上,讨论了英语表音法与书面语篇的关系及交际的作用,并预测了语音的书面表现形式的应用现状和发展趋势。

This paper deals with the diachronic changes in English phonetics in general, and phonetic systems as well as written representations of sounds in particular. Based on the previous discussion, it analyzes the relationship between orthography and written representation of sounds, and concludes by exploring the present applications and future development of orthography.
