摘要
在诸多描写手法中,修辞技法是新闻英语中最常见的一种。它既能帮助作者用通俗、丰富的语言来表达新闻主题,又能增加读者的阅读兴趣,并最终让读者能更好地领会报道内涵。本文通过一些实例浅析了音韵修辞、仿拟、适度拟人法、夸张以及移就等修辞手法在新闻标题及报道中的应用及其表达效果。
Rhetorical devices is the commonest way among the many employed in English news. It can not only help writers express ideas in simple and rich language, but trigger readers＇ desires to read and help them grasp the main connotation. This paper focuses on some of the rhetorical devices, such as phonetic rhetoric, parody, personification, hyperbole and transferred epithet used in English news and analyses their effectiveness in communication.
