Humanistic Olympics and the Harmonious Cultural Construction of the Capital

为了迎接2008年奥运会,我国提出了人文奥运这一理念。这一理念与党在十六大和十七大上强调的建设和谐文化这一重大任务紧密相关。两者在以人为本、传承文明、构建和谐等方面都是一致的,人文奥运建设实为社会主义和谐文化建设的一个重要组成部分。因此,只有以建设和谐文化的新视角审视人文奥运建设,才能准确把握人文奥运的内涵,推进其深入的发展。

For the 2008 Olympic Games, the Chinese Government has put forward the doctrine of humanistic Olympics. This ideology is essentially concerned with the task of constructing a harmonious culture emphasized in the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Communist Party Congresses. In fact, the two are consistent in such principles of respecting people, passing down civilization, and constructing harmonious society. And humanistic Olympics construction is an important part of the Socialist harmonious culture construction. Therefore, only looking at the humanistic Olympics construction from the perspective of constructing harmonious culture could we have a better understanding of the spirit of the humanistic Olympics, and hence promote its advancement.
