随着中美经贸关系蓬勃发展,两国在经济领域相互依存与融合不断深化,同时相互矛盾和摩擦也在加剧。妥善处理矛盾,推动两国经贸关系长期稳定发展,攸关两国发展全局和国家整体利益,中美战略经济对话机制因而应运而生。中美双方在对话中的地位是动态变化并逐步趋向平衡的。

With the rapid development of Sino-American economic and trade relations, the mutual dependency and integration between the two countries have continued to be deepened within the economic field. Meanwhile, the conflict and friction between them have also been intensified. To properly deal with the conflicts and push forward the long-term and stable development of bilateral economic and trade relations are crucial to the overall development and national interests of both countries. Therefore, the mechanism of China-U.S. Strategic Economic Dialogue met the need. The positions of China and the United States in dialogue change dynamically and tend gradually to be balancd.
