The effect of polyoma virus oncogene products on PDGF mediated cellular response has been examined in vitro using MTAg transformed fibroblast.The results showed that MT 3 cells exhibited reduced level of inositol 1,4,5 triphosphate in response to PDGF as compared to parent fibroblast.The intracellular ca 2+ oscillation in MTAg transformed cells can be induced by PDGF and bradykinin.PDGF can inhibit the stimulation of parent cells with bradykinin,however,it is unaffected in transformed cells.When the transformed cells were protreated by PMA,the PDGF induced Ca 2+ oscillation was reduced.These results suggested that MTAg can affect PDGF mediated cellular responses.
