美国密西西比河三角洲(路易斯安那州南部沿海)近年发生的生态系统恶化特别是灾难性的湿地流失,已经给沿海居民、公共基础设施、渔业、航运及野生动植物等带来了巨大的负面影响。维持生态系统、经济及文化持续发展的综合规划才是解决三角洲生态恶化的有效途径。"Breaux法"是解决路易斯安那州湿地流失的联邦法律,"滨海2050计划"提出了更具战略性和多功能利用的恢复途径。通过有效的组织管理和广泛的公众参与,有些措施和项目正在实施之中并已见到成效。

Ecosystem collapse especially catastrophic wetland losses in Mississippi River Delta （coastal area in south of Louisiana） in recent years have enormous side-effect on coastal communities, infrastructure, fishery, navigation and wildlife. Comprehensive plan which sustains ecosystem, economic and culture development is effective solution rather than many single measures. ＂Breaux Act＂ is the single largest federal legislation that addresses the coastal wetland loss in Louisiana. ＂Coast 2050 Plan＂ provided a more strategic, multiple use approach. Through effective organization and management and extensive public participation, some of these strategies are under construction and have benefited the local.
