白黄瓜翠玉8号是由高代自交系96B-28和96B-25配制而成的一代杂种。植株生长势强,早熟,抗霜霉、白粉、枯萎等病害。瓜条顺直,把短,瓜皮白色,刺瘤较密,平均腰瓜长34cm,单瓜重185g左右。管理得当,早春保护地栽培产量可达158700kg/hm2。

Cuiyu No. 8 is new white cucumber F1 hybrid by crossing inbred lines 96B-28 and 96B-25. It grows vigorously. It has early maturity and has high rate of fruit -setting .The fruit is white, straight in shape with a shot fruit neck, Its skin has more spine and wart. Average fruit is 34cm in length and about 185g in weight. It has resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew and Fusarium wilt. It is suitable for cultivation in early spring, Its yield is above 158 t/hm^2.
