DEVELOPMENTS IN THE MOLECULAR ENGINEERING OF SIDECHAIN LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYMER

摘要 综述了近几年侧链液晶高分子(SLCP)的分子工程研究的最新进展,从SLCP的分子设计与液晶行为和材料性能的关系、SLCP及基于SLCP的新型材料的应用前景、SLCP的合成方法等几个方面进行探讨。 he recent development in sidechain liquid crystal polymers(SLCP) on the concept of molecular engineering was reviewed with 29 refrences. In traditional case, only covalent bonds were generally used to achieved the desired molecular structure. Recently, molecular architecture through selfassembly processes by specific molecular interactions have been recognized to be a new strategy for building the molecular structure of SLCP. The synthesis methods of SLCP were summarized in this paper. We present the molecular architecture through selfassembly processed by molecular interactions (such as hydrogen bonds) is the effective methods for liquid crystallization of general polymer, which contain the reactive groups, such as styrenecomaleic anhydride. In this paper, we discussed the reversible optical storge of Azo SLCP, ferroelectic properties of SLCP contain chiral center, photocrosslinkable SLCP and room temperature SHG switch device. Also, the naval material based on SLCP, such as Coluninar Discotic Liquid Crystal Polymers. Interpenetrating Liquid Crystal Network and Polymer dispersed liquid crystal were discussed.
