Architecture Characteristic of Kang Baiwan Manor

康百万庄园是中原地区为数不多的清朝中、后期修建的大型地主庄园。整个建筑群充分利用自然地势,"靠山筑窑洞,临街建楼房,濒河设码头,居险垒寨墙,"体量规模宏大,空间变化多样,是这一时期河南西部地区民居的代表。

Kang Baiwan Manor is the rare large-scale landlord＇s house built in the middle and late of the Qing Dynasty in Central Plains. The whole architectures take advantage of natural topography, ＂dig cave dwellings against mountain, build houses adjoining street, set up wharves on the river, construct walls in the dangerous place. ＂ The scale of the manor is very extensive, and the change of the space is much varied. It is the delegate of the residence at that time in the west of Henan.
