马丁·艾米斯的《伦敦场地》创作于新旧世纪交替之际,是一部谋杀小说。整部小说像一场错乱的游戏,而这种错乱游戏的本身恰恰是对千年末整个社会、整个时代的绝妙讽刺。小说中体现出的情感都与传统的价值相悖,是完全而彻底的倒错,不仅两性情感倒错、父子情感倒错,美与丑、生与死的基本概念也完全是一片混乱,展示了后现代语境下最疏离、最残忍的"废都"式生存困境,提出了关于人类未来的严峻问题。

Martin Amis＇ London Field is a novel of murder at the end of the millennium. This novel is a bitter irony of the contemporary society because the plot is nothing but a perverted game. The emotions depicted in the novel, including the love between men and women, between parents and children are all perverted. The basic idea of beauty and ugliness, life and death is chaotic as well. Thus, a prevailing dilemma of living in the postmodern and cruel environment is well like a ruined capital unfolded.
