英汉颜色词修辞色彩比较研究

A Contrastive Rehtorical Study of Color Terms in English and Chinese

颜色词是每一个民族的语言中不可缺少的重要部分,具有重要的修辞功能,同时也反映着一个民族的文化传统,反映语言使用者的认知过程。人类认知的共同性,反映以使用不同母语的人使用颜色词的相似性。在使用两种语言进行交际时,应兼顾颜色修辞功能的差异和共同点。

Color terms play a very important part in a nation＇s language. They have an essential rhetorical function, reflect the traditional culture of a nation and manifest the cognitive process of the language users. This paper first reviews the related literature, including the studies of color cognition and rhetoric, analyzes contrastively the rhetorical features of color terms in both Chinese and English, and then explores the similarities and differences in the use of color terms across the languages and the factors related.
