摘要
本研究运用词汇习得的相关理论,通过问卷调查,借助SAS统计软件,调查了一所民族院校少数民族本科生的英语词汇学习策略。结果表明:(1)少数民族本科生较多运用认知策略学习词汇,而对元认知策略和社会/情感策略运用较少;(2)查词典策略的运用频率最高,而与人合作策略的使用频率最低。文章在对调查结果进行分析之后,对我国民族院校的词汇教学提出几点建议。
This study aims at an investigation of the vocabulary learning strategies adopted by the students from China's minority areas. 197 sophomores at South- Central University for Nationalities were asked to complete the vocabulary learning questionnaire. After an analysis of the results by means of SAS, the major findings are concluded as follows: (1) College students from China's minority areas employ a wide range of strategies to learn EFL vocabulary and they prefer to cognitive strategies; (2) "Consulting vocabulary" is proved to be the most frequently used strategy whereas "cooperating" is the least used one. Consequently, some pedagogical implications are put forward for vocabulary teaching in colleges and universities from China's minority areas.
