Theories and Explanation:Three Issues on Aesthetic Modernity

在当代语境中,中国文学艺术的审美现代性研究是一个重要的理论课题。然而,审美现代性研究有其阐释的一些基本前提需要确立:第一,从时间、审美意识与艺术表现、审美价值与审美功能三个维度来考察,审美现代性的"理论规定"可以表述为"现时性"、"审美创新性"和"审美反思性";第二,在西方话语与中国言说"双重视阈"的观照中,新时期中国文学艺术的审美现代性有其复杂情形,但新型的现实关系和审美关系铸就了其内容、社会功能与价值取向、题材体裁与艺术表现以及批判性审美精神等多方面的"历史具体性";第三,借助艾布拉姆斯的艺术四要素图式,我们可以获得新时期中国文学艺术审美现代性研究的多重"表现层面"。

In contemporary language context, the aesthetic modernity study of Chinese literature and arts is an important theoretical issue. However, some premises shall be established for theoretical explanation of aesthetic modernity. First, from aspects of time, aesthetic consciousness and artistic expression as well as aesthetic value and aesthetic functions, the theoretical definition of aesthetic modernity can be expressed as ＂modernity＂, ＂aesthetic innovation＂ and ＂aesthetic reflection＂. Second, in double views of the Western and Chinese discourse, the aesthetic modernity of Chinese literature and arts in the new era is complicated, but the new realistic relations and aesthetic relations make the＂specific history＂in its content, social funclion and value orientation, theme, style and artistic expression as well as critical aesthetic spirit. Third, with M. H. Abrams＂ theory, we can obtain multiple ＂expression levels＂ in the study of the aesthetic modernity of Chinese literature and arts in the new era.
