摘要
用单细胞记录方法,研究了不同眼注视位置对清醒猴初级视皮层(VI)神经元自发活动的影响。实验前训练两只猴(Macacamulatta)注视一个小光点,并使注视点在屏幕上顺序移动25个位置。我们观察到:(1)52%的初级视皮层神经元发放频率受眼位置调制,存在着一个能引起细胞最大发放的“注视野”;当注视点位于该细胞的注视野内时,发放频率明显增强。(2)大多数神经元的注视野位于感受野的外侧,多数在对侧视野范围内。(3)受眼位置影响的神经元分布在皮层的不同深度上,多数在皮层的浅层和深层。以上结果表明,大约半数初级视皮层神经元可以编码眼位置信息。
We recorded the activities of single neurons of the primary visual cortex inawake, behaving monkeys to test the influence of the position of gaze on cellular activity. Two monkeys (Macaca mulatta) were trained to fixate a small spot positioned sequentially at 25 locations on a viewing screen. About half (52% ) of the neurons recordedshowed a selective gaze field (GF), when monkey fixated at this field of view, the cellactivities increased significantly. For the majority of the neurons, GF located at thecontralateral field of view with respect to the hemisphere from which responses wererecorded. The GF was usually found a few degrees peripheral to the related RF. Gazeposition-dependent neurons were found at different depths of the cortex, but mostly inthe superficial and the deepest layers. The results indicate that the striate cortex neuronsmay code information about gaze position.
