A systematical investigation is made on the traditional houses in North Jiangsu. From the essential connotation of ＂aesthetics＂, this article discussed about the harmony and the unity of natural, artificial and social of Northern Jiangsu traditional dwelling. It is to provide some references for modem city constructions.
