Saussure observes and analyzes large amount of phenomena of language and draws a highly-condensed conclusion that Language is a system, which is quite meaningful for language study in this era, and instructive as well for another side of language using, i,e. language teaching. This essay emphasizes on the discussion about the connection between language theory from Saussure and language teaching practice, and focuses on the necessity of putting language theory into practical language teaching.
