In this article,we summarize positional candidate approaches for the cloning of human disease genes,including its technological route,possible applies and research advances.Also,we point out the advantages of this approaches comparing with functional cloning candidate gene approaches and positional cloning.In the end of this artical,we forecast the future of this strategy in the process for cloning human disease genes.
