The energy utilization processes and problems affecting the energy consumption in the delayed coking plant of shengli petrochemical factory of Sinopec are analyzed here. The total energy consumption is reduced by the effective measures.For example：lower fuel consumption, innovafion of process technologies to reduce steam requirement, strengthened equipment management to maximize electric power consumption and so on. Some measures are valuable for the same refineries to cut down the cost and achieve a good profit.
