Especially, fast development of NdFeB permanent magnetic materiats worsens the unbalanced situation of RE market. Besides, with the development of science and technology, some traditional RE applications are challenged by new technotosy or new products. Some of them have been or to be substituted by other materiats. Panel display technology headed by LCD and PDP has broken the monopoty of CRT. Shrunk CRT market led to the sharp dosage reduction of RE polishing powders.
