摘要
许理和教授《最早的佛经译文中的东汉口语成分》一文认为"佛经译文中表示指代的总共只有三个词:‘是’、‘尔’、‘彼’。‘此’和‘斯’很少见,毫无疑问,在当时的口语中已经不用了。"笔者从统计的数字来看,事实并非如此。文章通过讨论"此"、"斯"、"是"、"彼"、"他"、"他人"等几个指示代词的用法,揭示了东汉汉译佛经中指示代词的语法特点,对许文作了修正和补充。
Professor Xu Lihe' s essay the Easten Han Oral Elements in the Oldest Translations of the Bud- dhist Scriptures thought:“There are only three demostrative pronouns :‘ shi' (是) ,‘ er' (尔) and‘ bi' (彼)in the Chinese Version of Buddhist scripture. But ‘ ci' (此) and‘si' (斯) are rare. It's no doubt that they were not used in the spoken Chinese at that time. ” However, it' s not the case in my reading and statistics. The essay as a complement to the Xu' s reveals the grammatical features of the demostrative pronouns in the Buddhist scriptures translated in Chinese in Easten Han Dynasty through discussing the usage of some demostrative pronouns, eg" ci" (此) ,"si" (斯) ,"shi" (是) ,"bi" (彼) ,"ta" (他) ,"ta ren" (他人) ,etc.
