摘要
作为一部重构的"天堂"与"地狱"之书,《呼啸山庄》滑稽模仿了弥尔顿笔下有关"堕落"的神话结构,以对凯瑟琳、伊莎贝拉、丁耐莉、小凯瑟琳数位女性人物形象堕落版本的复现,演示了西方父权文化对女性的改造,成为一则耐人寻味的文化寓言。
With an intention to reconstruct Heaven and Hell, Wuthering Heights parodies the mythological structure of sinful fall in Milton＇s epic. With narrative presentations of fall stories of Catherine, Isabella, Nelly Dean and Catherine II, Wuthering Heights shows the transformation of women in western patriarchal culture, hence a thought-nrovoking cultural fable.
