汉代文学不仅从广义的学术中分化出来,对文学的各种体裁有了比较明确的区分与认识,对文学的审美特性有了自觉的追求,而且形成了文学专业文人与创作队伍,明确了创作的动机,重视了文学的社会功能及创作的价值,在各类文学体裁上有了重大的发展,标志着汉代文学已达到"自觉"的程度。

The Han Dynasty literature, derived from the academics in a broad sense had relatively obvious classification of literature and recognition of its genres, and conscious pursuit of aesthetic traits of literature, which helped to bring about professional writers,makes clear creative motives and highly attaches importance to the social function of literature and the value literary creation. In this literary period, all genres of literature developed. It shows that the Han dynasty literature has come up to a conscious extent.
