Taking two articles by Chen Tie - min as example, such as Some Pitfalls ＂in the Research on Life Stories of Ancient Writers, and Talking Again About Some Kinds of Mistakes in Textual Research in Ancient Writers＇Life Stories, this paper focuses on some typical mistakes in the research of Wang Wei＇s life stories and offers some exemplifications. The writer goes further to make a simple critical analysis on the reasons of mistake - making and some defects in the research for reference.
