西园雅集系年考

Exploration on the Year of Xiyuan Gathering

苏轼等十六人雅集驸马王晋卿家西园,画家李伯时据实绘有《西园雅集图》,书法家、文学家米芾写有《西园雅集图记》。至于雅集的时间,宋人刘克庄以为在"乌台诗案"前不久,显然有误。今人孔凡礼先生以为在元祐三年。考米芾行踪,元祐三年不可能出席雅集盛会。雅集当在元祐二年夏秋。

Su Shi with other sixteen ever gathered in the house of his son -in -law, Wang Jinqing. The painter, Li Boshi drew The Picture of Xiyuan Gathering. Mi Fu, a calligraphier and a litterateur, wrote The Description of the Picture of Xiyuan Gathering. As for the time when the gathering was held, liu Kezhuang,from Song Dynasty, held that it was not long before ＂the Case of Wutai Poem＂, it is obviously wrong. Kong Fanli thinks that it is in the third year of Yuanyou. By exploring Mi Fu＇s tracks,it is impossible for Mi Fu to attend the gathering at that time. The gathering should be in summer or autumn of the second year of Yuanyou.
