First,from the perspective of the market economy,the paper discusses the appearance background of the Virtual Prototyping Technology(VPT) and analyses many benefits in comparison with traditional designing method.Second,the connotation and study situation,moreover are expatiated and the VPT's applications are made.Finally,from the point of the development,the restrictive factors and orientation of VPT's development are put forward.
