石崇拜作为一种特殊的文化现象,遍布于古蜀社会文化生活领域。以传世文献为基础,结合出土文献与民俗材料进行综合比较考察,发现这种泛崇拜现象的背后潜藏着深层的文化蕴涵,即蜀民思想中有着共同认知:石具有生殖繁衍、驱邪祈福等实际功能,于部族之生存发展有重要作用,更是亡魂必定的回归之所。因此,蜀民便对石进行虔诚膜拜,以期获得于己有利之效用。

As a kind of special cultural phenomenon, rock adoration phenomenon spread all over the social and culturd life realm in ancient Shu Country＇s people. According to the preserved ancient documents and the unearthed relics and the materials of folk custom, the author finds that the back of the extensive adoration phenomenon conceals deeply cultural contents, which means that the thought of Shu Country＇s people had their common cognition. The rock has the function of breeding, exorcising and praying happiness. It has actual effect on existence of tribe, and it is also the necessary returning place for ghosts. Because of these, the people of Shu Country devoutly worship rock and hope to acquire lots of beneficial effects.
