U-Boot transplantation analyses for embedded system

U-Boot软件是一款功能强大的嵌入式系统Bootloader开发工具,Bootloader用来在启动时引导嵌入式系统,是进行嵌入式系统开发的基础。以UP_NETARM3000开发板为基础,结合移植的实践过程,分析了U-Boot移植到三星S3C44B0微处理器的详细操作。实验结果表明,移植的U-Boot可以在目标板上成功运行。通过它可以与主机通过串口通信,查看目标板内存,进行操作系统内核及文件系统的烧写等。

U-Boot software was introduced firstly. It is a powerful developing instrument of Bootloader in embedded system. And Bootloader is used for loading the embedded system when the system is started up and it is the foundation for developing embedded system. Then, taking the UP_NETARM3000 developing board as basis, detail procedures for transplanting U-Boot to Samsung S3CA4B0 microprocessor were analyzed with combining the practical transplant process. The experimental results indicate that the transplanted U-Boot can run on the target board successfully. It can communicate with host by serial port, watch the memory on target board, and write the kernel of operation system and file system.
