英汉演说语篇照应手段对比与翻译

Contrast and translation of discourse reference of English and Chinese oration

照应是语篇衔接的重要内容,在英汉两种语言中在这方面的异同非常复杂,前人多就文学文本对比了汉英照应手段的差异,给本研究带来启示。本研究以韩礼德和哈桑的语篇衔接理论为依据,取演讲语篇为语料,通过对各照应手段进行对比分析,可以探究两者在具体运用上的不同之处及其在英汉演说语篇翻译中的体现。

Reference is an important device of the cohesion of text and shows great complexity both in English and Chinese. Many scholars have studied the different usage of references in the literature discourse, which gave light to the present study. On the theoretical basis of Halliday ＆ Hasan＇s cohesion theory, the author conducts a contrastive study on the using of references in the oratorical discourse. It is hoped that the study will facilitate the observation of the differences between different usage of references and of their manifestations in the E-C translation of the oratorical discourse.
