With the method of theoretic analysis and correlative knowledge of sports psychology and training theory, the article discusses the process and characteristic of ice hockey players＇tactical ideation and the influence of tactical ideation on competition and the interrelation of tactical ideation and competitive results. It suggests to foster the players＇ tactical ideation by some effectual means such as enhancing their culture learning, improving their observation and solving problem ability and creative ideation.
