Probing into the Current Situation of College History Teaching and Approaches to Innovation

在改革开放和市场经济大潮的冲击下,"历史无用论"盛行一时,历史学科有被边缘化的危险,其教化功能和社会影响力日益下降,导致当前高校历史教学陷入尴尬之境。因而,重申历史学科的重要性,并对当前高校历史教学现状进行研析探索,以期得出改进之良策显得尤为重要。

Under the great impact of reform and opening-up and of the market economy, there has flooded a view that the knowledge of history is useless. The discipline of history is therefore on the brink of being marginalized and its educational function and social influence are on the decrease, which has brought the current college history teach- ing to an awkward situation. Therefore it is all the more important to reaffirm the importance of the discipline of history and to make an analysis of present situation of history teaching in institutions of higher learning for the expectation of good approaches to innovation.
