与时俱进是马克思主义理论的本质要求。中国共产党人的发展观是在马克思主义理论指导下形成和发展起来的,是随着中国社会主义建设实践的发展而发展的,也必然具有与时俱进的本质特征。时代性、实践性、人民性是其与时俱进本质特征的具体体现。

Keeping up with the times is the basic requirement of the Marxist Theory. The CPC members＇ development concept has come into being and developed under the direction of the Marxist theory, has been developing with the development of the practice of socialist construction in China and inevitably has the basic characteristic of keeping up with the times. And some specific reflections of the basic characteristic of keeping up with the times are for the times, practicable and for the people.
