Bob and Diana Gerding Theater at the Armory, Portland, Oregon： The transformation of the derelict 1891 Portland Armory into a Platinum LEED theater - the nation＇s first for a performing arts center - has preserved a historic structure. Imaginative design allowed history to be preserved, while giving the neighborhood a vibrant boost to its nightlife.
