Four Key Points of Establishing a Harmonious Socialist Society

构建社会主义和谐社会必须坚持"四个"着力点,即坚持以人为本,尊重个性,实现人的和谐发展;坚持全面、协调、可持续的科学发展观,实现人口、资源、环境的协调发展;突破我国二元社会结构,实现城乡之间、区域之间的协调发展;保持社会良性运行,实现政治、经济、文化的协调发展。

Establishing a harmonious socialist society is to build a society promoted on the principle of democratic rule of law, equity and justice, honest and friendliness, vitality, orderliness and harmonious coexistence between human and nature. Therefore, in the process of establishing a harmonious socialist society, there are four key points needing to be addressed, namely： adhering to humanism, respecting for individuality, and promoting the harmonious development of man; carrying out the scientific viewpoint of all-round, harmonious and sustainable development, and achieving the harmonious development of man, resources and environment; transforming the dichotomy of the social structure, and promoting balanced development between rural and urban areas, between regions; maintaining healthy social development, and realizing harmonious development of politics, economy and culture.
