文学思想意指对于文学的思想。周作人提出"以虚灵之物为上古之方舟"、"掐臂见血"、"视觉的盛宴"等文章观念,忧惧心理是周作人杂诗文化心理的主要内容。文学必须是宗教的,才是最高上的,文学就是强调个性,失去了个人,文学就异化了,也抹煞了文学。

Zhou Zuoren proposed views of ＂void spirit being the supreme＂ and ＂visual extravaganza＂. Psychological worry and apprehension are the main contents of his essays. To him, literature must be religious to be supreme and emphasizes individuality. Or literature will he alienated.
