摘要妇女的争取权利运动伴随着英国19世纪的政治改革历程。1832、1867、1884年的议会改革推动了英国的政治民主化进程,点燃妇女获得政治权利的希望,但妇女在政治上受排斥的地位并未改变。19世纪末20世纪初的英国社会变化培育了妇女新的争取权利热潮,激进的女性主义运动走到前台。
