Chemical fiber industry in China

自改革开放以来,中国化纤工业快速增长已经28年,平均年增速16.5%。近两年,中国化纤市场发生较大变化,各种矛盾和问题集中凸现,对行业运行和发展造成很大影响,国内外都给予高度关注。介绍了中国化纤工业的发展,中国化纤行业的主要矛盾和问题。

Since the reform and opening-up, China＇s chemical fiber industry has developed rapidly. By 2006, output for chemical fibers was 20.25 million tons, accounting for 49.6% of total output of chemical fiber in the world. Chemical fiber has become the most major raw materials of China textile industry and chemical fiber and its downstream processing industries have become major industries for earning foreign currency. In addi- tion, each year, China needs to import about 1.3 million tons of chemical fibers, over 12 million tons of raw materials for synthetic fibers and over 600 000 tons of raw materials for cellulosic fibers. The amount of the above three imported goods in 2006 was as high as US $16 billion.
