世纪之交．中国艺术批评开始大谈图像．一方面宣传中国社会已进入图像时代．另一方面认为艺术即图像，中国艺术的当代变化就是图像转型。

At the turn of the new century, Chinese art critics began to talk about image. On the one hand, they claim that Chinese society has entered image age; on the other hand, they think art is image, and the contemporary change of Chinese art is the change of image. It is incredible that ＂image＂ has suddenly become an overflowing word in Chinese contemporary art.
