走内涵式发展道路:提高教授承担本科教学工作质量的应然选择--西部普通院校“教授上讲台”的实证调查

摘要 调查发现:我国西部普通院校落实了"教授上讲台"制度。但教授人员在职称、性别结构等方面不够合理;教授承担课程门数、课程性质和课时量存在偏差;授课质量需进一步提高。为此,应走内涵式发展道路,提高教授承担本科教学工作的质量。 A survey of 5 colleges and universities on lecturing undertaken by staff of Associate Professor grade or above at undergraduate level in western China was carried out.The finding showed that the system of lecturing undertaken by staff of Associate Professor grade or above at undergraduate level was basically put into operation. However, the distribution structure in gender and teaching grade of Associate Professor and Professor were found to be unreasonable. There were discrepancies in the number of subjects, nature of subjects and teaching sessions taken up by Associate Professors or Professors. The quality of lecturing needs to be improved further. Under such cireumstnnce, connotative development is suggested to be the appropriate direction in quality advancement on lecturing undertaken by Associate Professors or Professors at undergraduate level.
