摘要
通过三维光波导的模式耦合理论分析了环形激光器与直波导的耦合系数,运用耦合系数的解析表达式结合半导体激光器自再现条件分析了环形半导体激光器各参数对阈值增益的影响.这种方法简单明了,计算量小.分析结果表明耦合系数随波导宽度和厚度、波导间距的增大而减小,随环形激光器半径的增大而增大;阈值增益随波导宽度和厚度、波导间距的增大而增大,随环形激光器半径的增大而减小。
The coupling coefficient between microring laser and straight waveguide is analyzed by using 3-dimension coupled mode theory. Influence of all parameters of semiconductor microring laser on the coupling coefficient and microring laser threshold is analyzed by using the self-reproduce condition in combination of analytical expression of coupling coefficient. This method is simple and requires less calculation. The results show that The coupling efficient decreases with the increase of waveguide width and thickness,gap and increases with the increase radius of microring laser. The threshold of microring laser increases with the increase of waveguide width and thickness, waveguide gap and decreases with the increase of and microring radius.
