在第三届中国人居环境高峰论坛上,专家呼吁,大力发展紧凑型新城镇。在欧洲,"紧凑城市"被视为实现城市可持续发展的重要途径。本文通过对城市形态、集中与分散的逻辑关系、个体城市紧凑形态的分析,提出了中小城市紧凑布局理念的重点及具体的理论模型。

Chinese scholars have realized the importance of building a new compact city environment and in Europe, a compact city is taken as a way of realizing the sustainable development of cities. The paper analyses the city structure, the logic relation between concentration and dispersion, and the compact formation of individual cities, and suggests the focal points for building compact cities of a medium and small size.
