摘要
考之湖南郴州《陈氏族谱》表明:文廷式夫人陈氏之父为陈起诗之子,其母为魏源之女,陈氏必具良好之教养与贤能;文、陈二氏之婚配,有坚牢而深远的社会及家族渊源,实为门当户对的好姻缘;文廷式之颠沛生涯,即是陈氏之孤寂生涯;而后世论者将将文廷式描画成一个风流才子的形象,实为凭空想象。
Genealogy of Chen Family of Chenzhou, Hunan shows that the father of Wen Tingshi＇s wife was the son of Chen Qishi and her mother was the daughter of Wei Yuan. Nee Chen was virtuous and capable and received good education. The marriage of Wen and Chen , with a firm, long social and family origins, was a good match. The life of Wen Tingshi was drifting indicated that the life of his wife was lonely. That Wen Tingshi was portrayed into a dissolute man was groundless.
