随着社会的发展和对人才需求的不断变化,英语课程标准及内容也根据社会的实际需要进行了改革。为了适应课程改革的要求,为社会培养一流的应用型外语人才,英语教师应不断更新知识与观念,提高自身素质。本文通过解读新课程标准,对英语教师在课程变革下如何通过更新教学观念、调整知识结构、改进教学方法与手段、强化教育教学科研能力提高自身整体素质进行了论述。

With the development of society, the standards and contents of the English curriculum have been reformed. In order to meet the demands of the curriculum reform and train qualified people to meet the need of society, English teachers should often renew their knowledge and ideas and improve their own quality. This paper puts forward some suggestions on how to improve English teachers＇ qualities to meet the demands of the ＇curriculum reform.
