A hydraulic winch in use behaved unexpectedly downwards in its initial stage of startup with load. Aimed at this phenomenon, this paper briefly analyzes the causes of the downslide, and puts forward several countermeasures and points out their characteristics, which provides a reference for solving or abating the problem of downslide.
