汉代女性婚姻自主权探析

A discussion on the marital autonomy for women in Han Dynasty

一般人认为古代女性丧失了婚姻自主权,但实际情况并非如此。在汉代,女性拥有一定婚姻自主权,包括结婚权、离婚权和再婚权。汉代女性这种婚姻权利和自由远远大于后世妇女。当然,由于汉代对家长权的维护和"男尊女卑"的社会现实,她们的婚姻自主权备受限制,她们所拥有的婚姻自由也相当有限,根本无法跟男性相比拟。

Most people thought that women in ancient time did not have rights of marital autonomy, but the truth was that women in Han Dynasty had？ more rights and freedom in their marriage？ than the other women in the following dynasty which included right of marriage, divorce and remarriage. Whereas in a society where parents＇ right was protected and men were superior, women＇s right of marital autonomy was much limited and could not compete with that of men.
