he usage and failure condition of φ1 550 back-up rolls were analyzed in this paper. The material of hard-facing repairing back-up rolls with submerged-arc welding was selected reasonablely, welding technique and post-weld heat treatment method were designed, φ1 550 back-up rolls were repaired effctively.〖WTHZ]
