Effects of Learning Support in Distance Education on Learners' Self-efficacy

摘要 本研究对207名远程学习者的支持性特点以及其远程学习效能感状况进行了调查,试图找到学习者支持性特点对其自我效能感的影响。结果表明,远程学习者的上网条件、学习时间以及家校距离均对不同纬度的远程学习效能感有显著影响。此外,远程学习者遇到困难时的求助方式和求助对象的选择倾向也对远程学习效能感有显著影响。 With the development of distance education, individualized learning support has started to attract attention from both institutions and staff. Individualized learning support should be informed by insights from the study of learners' characteristics. This paper reports on a survey on 207 distance learners with the aim to analyze features of learning support and its effect on distance learners' self-efficacy. The findings indicate that there are various factors, namely, learners' access to the Internet, time available for study and the physical distance between home and learning center, which may impact significantly on the different aspects of self-efficacy. Other relevant factors include how learners seek support and who they tend to turn to for help when they encounter learning difficulties.
