摘要
考虑如何在GSM接收机中实现最大似然接收以克服多径传播带来的严重的信号失真,提出了新的算法,它和常规的算法相比在复杂度上大大降低。给出了仿真结果,结果表明这一新算法具有接近理想的最优性能。
This paper considers the use of adaptive maximum likelihood estimation in the receiver of the global system for mobile telecommunication (GSM) to cope with severe time and frequency selective distortions caused by multipath propagation. A simplified maximum likelihood receiver structure is derived and two algorithms, one for channel parameter estimation and another for maximum likelihood estimation of the information bit, have been suggested. The later is based on artificial neural network. Compared with the Viterbi algorithm, this new algorithm for maximum likelihood estimation has significantly reduced complexity with no sacrifice on the system performance. Simulation results are given.
